Carboxytherapy is a cosmetic procedure in which carbon dioxide(CO2) injections are used to treat the effects of aging on your body.
One of the main effects of aging is that blood capillaries become dormant, which reduces and hinders blood circulation. This reduces the level of oxygen that cells receive, and stops their regeneration process.
This treatment stimulates blood circulation by applying CO2 injections beneath the surface of the skin. By doing this, your body enters an oxygen-deficit mode and increases the blood flow to the treated area. CO2 injections cause blood vessels to dilate, which increases the blood supply to a certain area. This means that after the injection, more oxygen and nutrients will rush to the affected area, stimulating cell regeneration and collagen production.
This treatment can be used to get rid of cellulite, scars, stretch marks, as well as improving the appearance of the skin.
Each session can last up to 40 minutes. The number of sessions will depend on the severity of the problem to be treated, but it usually ranges from 6 to 12 appointments spaced one week apart. You should consider any important event or celebration when scheduling the treatments, as bruises can happen especially on arms and legs.
